Submission Guidelines

Energy Safety and Energy Economy is a bimonthly peer-reviewed journal intended to bridge the gap between theory and practice in engineering.

Since 2005, we publish original research on sustainable engineering and industrial safety. We use a delayed open access model. Please note that the previous name, Energy Safety in Documents and Facts, has been changed in 2008.

We welcome manuscripts focusing on topic areas within our scope as listed on our home page. Journal editors verify citations and references before publishing. We assign DOI to the published papers. There are no page charges or submission fees.

Peer Review Process Description

Our double-blind peer review process aims to ensure the scientific rigor and transparency as well as technical accuracy of published papers.

1. All manuscripts submitted to our journal and not rejected after initial evaluation being irrelevant, weak, etc., are subject to the peer review process. Authors submit their manuscripts according to the submission guidelines above.

2. Editor-in-Chief selects qualified peer reviewers and obtains their agreement to adhere to the requirements of the Energy Safety and Energy Economy peer review process. The peer reviewers are notified that manuscripts or their parts must not be used in any inappropriate way.

3. The peer reviewers prepare the reviews according to the Recommendations on the Energy Safety and Energy Economy Peer Review Process, Moscow, MIEE Publishing House, 2010.

4. Our peer review process may take up to 2 months to be completed. Editors email peer reviewers’ comments to the authors. If any revisions are needed and the authors agree with them, they resubmit revised manuscripts. We reserve the right to refuse further discussions with the authors if the manuscript has been rejected, for example in case of inappropriate communication from the authors’ side.

5. The relevant section of the Editorial Board and Editor-in-Chief decide whether the manuscript should be published or not. Editors convey this outcome to the author. All reviews are being collected and stored in the editorial office.
